How a contract runs

The clock, the clues, the banishing and the extraction, and what every step pays. All of it is read from the mission and rules presets in the game files.

What the bounty is made of

Clues, the lair and the kill pay Bounty to the whole team. The token bounty and the underdog bonus are the defaults in the files. The server can raise both per contract, which is what bonus contracts in the lobby do. Rotjaw and Hellborn pay like a boss: 25 to find, 100 to kill, 350 XP to banish.

Tokens, lights and leaving

Extraction

It takes 30 seconds to extract Bounty Tokens and leave the map, if not blocked by enemy Hunters. If any teammates aren't at the Extraction Point by the end, they will not extract with you. Leaving the Extraction area resets the timer.

Downed teammates

You can't extract if one of your teammates has been downed in the Extraction Point area. You must revive them to be able to leave from that Extraction Point.

Red lights

Watch the lights at the Extraction Point. If they are red, enemy Hunters are nearby. Be prepared for an ambush.

Finding extractions

Extraction Points are revealed when you find Clues, banish a Boss Target, pick up a Bounty Token, or find a Scouting Map.

One token per boss

Once banished, each target releases two Bounty Tokens, but you can only carry one Token of the same target at a time.

Dark Sight Boost

Looting a dead Hunter while carrying a Bounty Token restores a second of Dark Sight Boost.

Sealed Bounty

On most single-boss Bounty Hunt contracts, the files give an 80% chance of an extra Sealed Bounty. It runs its own 200-second timer, as long as a banish.

Leaving the match

Disconnecting only spares your hunter if you're more than 70 m from enemy hunters and not at death's door. Hunters are lost for good from bloodline rank 11.

Time's up

Attention! The mission will end in 5 minutes. Please exit through an extraction point as soon as possible to keep your Hunter alive.
